Grupo Siro was set up in 1991 through the purchase of the Galletas Siro biscuit business from Danone. Since then it has progressively acquired other family and multinational groups, diversifying and expanding. Over the course of more than 20 years the company has successfully adapted to the market, to the industry and to consumers, as reflected in its continued growth and results. Here we present a little of our history:

    Entry into the Biscuits Business with the acquisition of Galletas Siro from Danone.

  • 1993

    Incorporation of Pastas Reglero

  • 1994

    Acquisition of Río Productos Alimenticios.

  • 1995

    Entry into the Snacks sector with the purchase of KP Larios

  • 1997

    Agreement with Fundosa for the professional integration of disabled workers

  • 1998

    Entry into Pasta business with the acquisition of Pastas Ardilla and La Familia

    Interproveedor Mercadona

  • 1999

    Construction of the first Special Employment Centre in Venta de Baños (Palencia)

  • 2003

    Incorporation of Siro Aguilar

  • 2006

    Entry into three new markets

    • Sliced Bread with the construction of the factory in Paterna

    • Pastries with the acquisition of Duran & Hidalgo

    • Cakes with the acquisition of Castelló y Juan and the purchase from Bimbo of the plant in El Espinar

  • 2007

    Arrangement of a syndicated credit amounting to 267 million euros

  • 2008

    Acquisition of Productos Casado S.A.

  • 2009

    Incorporation of three plants corresponding to Sara Lee, in Antequera (Málaga), Sliced Bread in Agüimes (Gran Canaria) and Cakes in Briviesca (Burgos).

    I+dea, the Group's new R&D+i Business, is founded. An agreement is signed with Madrigal Participaciones to increase the share capital

  • 2011

    Purchase from Nutrexpa of the Galletas de Jaén factory.

    Arrangement of a new syndicated credit amounting to 240 million euros

  • 2012

    Entry into the Cereales Business, with the construction of a new plant in Aguilar de Campoo.

    Establishment of the company Siro Foods.

  • 2013

    Acquisition of the Los Alfoces agricultural estate.

    Madrigal sells its stake in Grupo Siro and a credit facility of 100 million euros is provided by the European Investment Bank.
